That's funny... They are little bandits after all.. Well, they are cute and most of the time are fairly safe. But its good to be a little wary, they can be extremely dangerous if they put their mind to it. If you ever see a cat/raccoon fight, the raccoon wins every time.
Yeah my fears came from camping they used to come out of the dark woods and make racket. Lol. Sill childhood fears. They can be nasty though like you've said. I've seen them fight each other. TERRIFYING. I would never want to see a cat and raccoon fight.
We used to sit by the fire and there was a bit of a ledge where it went down to the water and you could hear them fighting and we would be sitting by the fire and they would just POP up next to it. Yikes. They are very cute in the day time though (obviously not when they are infected with rabies but still). I've always wanted to go to Vancouver. Its on my destination lists. I hear wonderful things. And I read a book and it was located there partially.
yikes is right, that would be disconcerting to have them pop out of the dark. Yes, Rabies tends to be a bit of a downer..lol. Vancouver is beautiful... ocean, beach, mountain and city all within steps. It is worth a visit. was it a good book?
I will visit there eventually. It was The Swarm by Frank Schatzing. It was fascinating. It is a HUGE book. I think it was over 1000 pages, but it was super awesome. Very Michael Crichton like with all the research that went into it. It is a lot longer than it actually needed to be, there were parts that could be cut out but it was still a great book. I recommend if you like scifi and biology or animals in general. And have a decent chunk of time on your hands haha.
